Restoration of Antique Locks

I love bringing antique locks back to life and have significant experience repairing, refurbishing and tooling parts for antique locks and doors. As well as antique ironmongery in general. I have served a number of international and domestic customers in the US, Canada, and Central Europe. There are a couple of things you should know about my service:

  • Working with antiques requires craftsmanship, and a lot of love - this takes time
  • Time frames vary significantly depending on the complexity or age of the locking mechanism. It could take a week, or it could take a few months. This does not include shipping time
  • Shipping Charges are at the cost of the lock owner
  • Need a quotation? Contact me via email with as many pictures as you can take of the lock and the door
  • Hourly rates are the same as our regular service prices

Bert's Promise

  • If you are not satisfied with my work, I will work with you until you are satisfied.
  • A troubling trend in the locksmith industry is to replace an entire door or lock where even an untrained eye could tell it's not necessary to do. I promise to only replace a door or lock where there is no possibility of repair.
